
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with Date Caramel sauce
Looking for a dairy free treat that contains NO processed sugar....also VERY simple and Primitive,it only contains 4 ingredients! Remember, Bananas are pretty high in sugar so I suggest consuming only one serving and as a special treat!
4-6 bananas (peeled, chopped and frozen)
6-8 dates (pitted and soaked in 1/2 cup water for a few hours)
1 vanilla bean or natural extract if you don't have the pure bean.
In a food processor, blend frozen bananas with the vanilla bean/extract, until creamy and smoothe like ice cream. Blend the dates and soaking water in a blender, until creamy and sauce like. Scoop the ice cream mixture into a glass or bowl and layer the date caramel sauce between scoops and drizzle remaining on top. *Optional mix-ins are coconut shreds, cacao nibs and fresh berries!
